First of all you need to get the right use of the term hell as stated in the bible not in Catholic or other Christendom traditions.. Traditions and what the bible teaches are different.

The bible teaches that there will be a resurrection of righteous people and un-righteous persons. So, persons that did not have an opportunity like infants that died or people in a land that had not been able to make a choice to accept who God is and the the provision of Jesus sacerfice, they will have an opportunity to show their loyalty to God.. gandhi and budda well, its up to God to judge their heart.

unfortunately, there is going to be a lot of very great, kind and generous people in hell. The only way into heaven is by Christ.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.

Look at it this way:
Let’s say I meet Dr. Phil one day and then I go out an buy all of his books. I study them and know them inside and out. I can quote his pages and spread his wisdom. But I have never developed a relationship with him. I never spent any time with him, never called him on the phone, etc. One day, I want to go stay for a while with my idol. I go to his door and knock. Do you think he is going to let me in? NO. Why because he doesn’t know me. He's probably going to have me removed by his security. He has no idea who I am. I might know everything about him, but he knows nothing of me because we haven’t developed a relationship with each other.

The same is true with Christ. He wants a relationship with us and actually requires it if we are to enter His house. It is not about a quick introduction we had years earlier, it is about getting to know each other. It's not about the sin that you committed this morning or the crime you committed last week. If you have relationship and ask for forgiveness, then it is assured.

Why are you asking Christians to judge unbelievers to Hell, and then give you an answer? A more suitable question would be: "Since I'm an unbeliever, what must I do to attain salvation; so that I don't stand before the Judgment seat of GOD having to pay dearly for my foolish sins?"

According to Christianity, yes, that's what would happen. But that's just another reason why Hell is far superior to Heaven. All the awesome people are going to Hell: The founding fathers, Gandhi, Einstein, and too many others to name.

Yes. The bridge to God the Father is Jesus Christ - no other way to Heaven. God made a way for us to have salvation and the Peace of God that passes all understanding. Trust Him today and be free.

I love Aaron's answer
We as Christians can't really know what anyone's fate is.
We can discern based on the bible but only one person will determine a person's fate and that is God

genuine looking Christians might want to admit they don't comprehend all the solutions, and maximum, considering that they don't study the unique textual content contained in the unique language and context, might want to be difficulty to misinterpretation. What i comprehend, as a real looking Christian, is that Christ got here to teach us a thanks to stay. The Bible is a e book about community and there are certainly sturdy evidences that communities that abandoned God were subjected to destruction (inclusive of Isreal even as they rejected God). there is also evidence of God's promise to maintain that u . s . a . and is apparent contained in the actual shown actuality that the Jewish u . s . a . survives on the instantaneous even with severe persecutions. Many words are used contained in the unique Bible language for Hades, Sheol, and Gahena(sp?). they have different meanings contained in the context of that day. The be conscious maximum usually translated to hell became Gahena, which became the valley outdoors Jerusalem the position the refuse became burned. the fireplace burned continuously and the refuse became fed on by technique of the flames. contained in the NT it says lack of existence and Hades will be forged into this eating fireplace and could not exist. i imagine the idea of eternal torture became invented by technique of the church later. in all likelihood by technique of an same church that idea they had to visit warfare to pressure human beings to change into Christians (ie. Crusades, Inquisition, and so on). as far as i'm worried, that became the worst component that ever befell for Christianity or any faith and is SOOO faraway from what Christ taught that those human beings might want to, by technique of no skill, be referred to as Christian. The Bible says that Christ died for the sins of all and that his blood covers the sins of the international, yet i wager you nonetheless ought to settle for that present to get it. believe me although, God received't pressure everyone who willfully rejects Him to spend eternity with Him. do not comprehend in case you get a chance to modify your ideas (repent) even as the judgement comes and also you're status till now Him. do not imagine God's going to spend all eternity punishing those who rejected Him both, yet possibly he will. i'm not God so i do not get to make your ideas up. Is that genuine looking adequate for you?

I will answer as to what the Bible teaches not what mainstream christianity teaches. In the Bible it talks of the common grave of mankind, meaning where we all go when we die... the ground and the words in the various Bible languages are Hades, Hell and Sheol. Hell is not a firey place of torment. God is Love (1 John 4:8) so therefore he cannot possibly torture disobedient people and be Love. (Even Dr. Phil said this) Unbelievers according to the Bible are those who don't believe in God and live thier lives in accordance with His will as set out in His word the Bible. But only God can read hearts and therefore judge people. But as I said before that the punishment is not torture in a firey place. We pay for our sins when we die. Only those whose hearts are completely closed to God will die without hope of resurrection to everlasting life. This is what is called the lake of fire and sulfur, this is only figurtive imaging which represents complete destruction not eternal suffering. If something is thrown into fire and sulphur it's destroyed isn't it. (Rev 20:11-15)

According to the Bible we should be following Christ Jesus' example and teachings. Hence the word Christianity in reference to those religions claiming to do so. But that doesn't mean that all these religions are actually following Christ's lead. How can you tell the true christians from the false? Read what it says in Matthew 7:15-23:

15 “Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men].

21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

So in otherwords if someone or a group claiming to be christian are producing rotten fruitage then they are not pleasing God or Christ.

And as for those who are not Christians, God will still judge them according to their hearts and individually assess who they are, what thier lives entailed. Did they have the opportunity to learn about Christ fully. What were thier deeds? All these things come into the pictures. It is unchristian to say that someone will be judged unfavorably due to the religion they are. Each person will be judged as an individual not thier religious affiliation. The bible does not say there is one true religion but it does say at Ephesians 4:5; 'one Lord, one faith, one baptism;'. That means there is only one way to please God. And that is only outlined in his word the Bible. Which should be a way of life not a religion. Religion has only caused problems for people. The fact there are so many beliefs has created religion. If there is only one way to please our creator and Father then it would be in every aspect our our lives and not just an affliation. But we are encouraged to associate with like minded people, Hebrews 10:24-25 "24 And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as YOU behold the day drawing near."

So to sum up:

False Religion: Meddles in War and Politics, spreads false doctrine, and tolerates immoral sex... true 'religion' .... practices love, trusts God's Word, strengthens families and upholds high moral standards.

best wishes.
