Hi, the Champdogs site is normally helpful as they usually have lists of stud dogs. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have a separate list of studs for Shetland Sheepdogs - however there is a list of breeders ... maybe you could contact some - they might be able to help.

Failing that, why not try contacting the breeder of your girl? She may be able to offer you useful advice & recommend a good stud dog suitable for your girl's breeding.

Just investigated further & think that I have found some actual stud dogs ...

The second link is to Edglonian Shetland Sheepdogs & has a list of stud dogs with photos - including a tri-colour. There's a telephone number & email link on the site.

And the 3rd link, the Collie Net site shows one tri-colour Shetland Sheepdog Stud - Landover Nant Gwyn - when you click on the owners details it brings up a page showing a telephone number - along with a further list of Shetland Sheepdog breeders.

Hope that one of the links proves useful to you.

Finally, I've included a link to the Kennel Club's breeding site. It has lots of information on breeding, including a health checklist, an article on responsible breeding & how to become a KC Acredited breeder. Good luck to you & your girl.

Look on the Kennel Club website and search for breeders in your area.

Unless your girl has her Championship from the national kennel club, (AKC, KC, Canadian Kennel Club), no reputable breeder who is involved with their National Breed Club will allow her to be bred to their dog.

Sorry - but true. They will not breed people's pets.

Go here to read about what ciriteria they use and what you should use:
