It was a large car and I thank God it was a large car and not a smaller car. The other Guy came in my drivers door side at 50 mph and collapsed the door skin up to the protective door bar, smashing the window glass, yet I was unhurt, all my friends say that had the car been smaller, I would have been dead , do you think it is better to drive around in BIG cars rather than small cars, even if they are heavy on the Gas, give your reasons either way ?

I had an accident in May with a Renault Clio. The car was a total write off after I drove into a tree on a rainy day. My windscreen was smashed and there was almost no front left. I walked out, only with very minor damage to one of my vertebra's.

I wore a seat belt and I my airbags deployed. My opinion is that it isn't the size of the car, but the safety features that counts.

Now that argument might play in some crashes. But side inpact protection seat air bags and side impact head protection air bag should be all you need even in a smaller car I have seen Ford Excurision slam a Nissan 350Z. The suv had a grill guard with a wench. Ford ran a stop light nissan was in a hurry. It looked so bad I thought accident with fatality 5 of 6 air bags went off sore and banged up the guy in the nissan crawed over to the passenger side and got out. Argument insued But the nissan entered the intersection before he knew it was clear. Ford said the light was yellow Nissan Fault.

Yes I do, I think bigger cars are much safer if your in an accident.

In 1993 I had a Escort And a Drunk Driver Ran A red light at 80mph hitting the passanger side of the car where I was an dalso 37 weeks pregnant the impact broke my tail bone and pubic bone and killed the baby.. After that I don't feel safe in smaller cars..

My husband totaled our Chevy Venture van. It is not a large vehicle so to speak. The air bags popped out and everything else the drivers side headlight is in the dash and he walked away unharmed. Only sore from the impact. He was on his way to work swerved to miss a deer and hit a tree at 55mph. So if it is meant to be then it is meant to be, no matter what size vehicle your in. I know people who have had less damage and have died.

The heavier and bigger, the safer you are, why they don't put 4 pnt. roll bars in cars when they make them is beyond me, the cost would be about $200 and the cockpit of the car would be much stronger in an accident, and in case of a "Roll over" the occupants would be much safer, seat belts need to be redesigned as well, making them stronger, padded, and easier to get on and off.

Assuming this, you do not have to any extent further some thing to report on your tax go back with regard to the motorized vehicle twist of destiny.
