I can't eat very hard things now 'cause I have my braces on, but I don't have time to eat out during lunch break. what are some things that are soft, yet is a more portable kind of food to eat? (since granola bars are out of question..they are too hard to bite!)

Thanks!

Here's one: shredded chicken porridge or sliced fish porridge.
Both types are very tasty and nourishing and they can be packed
in a large tiffin or plastic container. It's easily eaten with a table
spoon and not much chewing either.
Here's the preparation and cooking:
1. Pour 1 measure of washed rice into a rice cooker with
water up to two-thirds full. Boil until the rice becomes soft and
soggy, like watery porridge. Add a little salt, sliced young
ginger, 1/2 cube chicken stock, sprinkle pepper and chopped
spring onions for taste.
2. Add to the porridge, shredded breast chicken or sliced fillet
of fish and cook to a brief boil.
When it's done, you can eat it after it's cooled and warm or it
can be kept in the container to be eaten later.

Talk about a trip down memory lane! Remember those days, but soon you will have a perfect smile. Things to try: pudding, cottage cheese, yogurt, canned soup with small pieces (chicken n stars is good), smoothies if the sucking action doesn't hurt, mashed potatoes, spaghettie o's, instant oatmeal.

buy you a nice heat proof thermos bottle and bring some soup with you.. lentil soup is nice healthy and filling. Yogurt, cream cheese sandwiches, PBandJ sandwiches. applesauce, V8 juice. bananas with peanut butter. instant oatmeal (that is if you have the means or access to hot water and alittle bowl cup to stir it in, but there again, comes in the handy thermos for hotwater)
