i am an agnotic who believes only in the love and mercy of people like jesus and buddha. but let me ask you a question ok. was Abraham a man of history? theologians have proven that whatever was written about abraham (thats if he ever existed) could have been written only about 600 years after his life ended.
so how can any thinking person take the story of Abraham as a literal truth?

Salam :) I'm a Muslim youngster dwelling in Canada. I put on hijab alhamdullilah and it is for essentially the most facet approved right here when you consider that i are living in a huge town with a large Muslim populace. I do get the few ignorant feedback and idiots at university regardless that who ask stuff like "yo bought a bomb below there hahaha". But the toughest facet is being unique out of your peers. Being a Muslim, events, alcohol courting boys dressed in revealing apparel and so on is haram, and whilst I do not wish to try this besides, it may be just a little awkward to ought to provide an explanation for why I do not do it to humans who don't forget it only a facet of being an adolescent and its average to them. Muslims dwelling in Muslim nations surely have it less complicated in relation to becoming in. And with meals it may be just a little intricate however I regularly attempt to learn the label if I'm now not certain of the constituents. But I would not wanna be another faith regardless of how complicated it will get and the way unique I think from each person else, I'm completely happy to be Muslim :)

Abraham could be a mythical figure, but in the town of Hebron, in the mountains south of Jerusalem, where Abraham, his wife Sara, son Isaac and bride Rivkah were supposed to be buried, there is a cave, over which there is a mosque/synagogue, and this cave has double chambers, Just like the story in Genesis, and in this second chamber there are four ancient graves.
Now, nobody knows who is buried in this second chamber, it could be anybody, but it does raise some doubts about the story of Abraham being a myth.

I have a degree in ancient history and th evidence of Abraham is equivalent if not more than we have to many other generally accepted historical figures
we dont have any memorial or archaeological proofs but that isn't unusual, for a nomadic people of such antiquity

thought you were Atheist (ahmed) you think i dont know who you are?!! people are not as stupid as you may think.

as for Abraham (pbuh) all the history i know about him is what i learned about him in the holy Quran.

his Life history is not important, what's important is a few stories shown to us by God to take an example and learn from the people before us.

salam ahmed!!

What is your proplem? Why do you hate Islam so much? If you are truly an athiest, you wouldn't care about one particular religion so much.

Kudos to Poki Poki for catching you hiding under a different name. That is quite cowardly, my friend. You should be proud of who you are and of your beliefs. If you are hiding, they you are obviously doing nothing more than causing trouble.

By your own assertion -- how do you know for sure that Shakespeare or Nostradamus or Ghengis Khan ever existed? If your response is: "Well, history books say so." Yeah, well, men wrote history books too, JUST LIKE the Bible.

To answer your question, Abraham is very real. If you go through Islamic or even Christian records, you'll find him.

Why are you only asking Muslims? Christians and Jews believe in him to, you know. Or are you just trying to start a brawl?
