No pain or sensitivity (yet). I'm not insured, would this be very expensive to get checked out? What dental plan would you suggest (I'm a VET)? Thanks!

I've had a hairline crack in my own central incisor for the past 45 years with no problem. I smacked into the side of a swimming pool. Don't worry about it.

As far as a dental plan, you can't get a decent plan as an individual.

I don't know. Do you have a hairline crack? Did you see it? If you did, then you better get to the dentist and get this taken care of right away. If it decides to crack under the gum, that is a very bad thing!

It depends on how deep the crack is. If it's minor, they can fill it in. If it's major, they may have to put in a crown. Don't bite down hard with that tooth, until you see the dentist.

It's best to get it checked out before it gets any bigger. The bad thing about those cracks is that they can really open up if you don't get it checked out.

To get it actually checked will be a basic checkup appointment at the dentist. However to get it fixed, just like any other dental work, will probably be outrageously expensive...

Just be careful about brushing it.... keep applying fluoride toothpaste and ensure that its.... well... as sterile as you can keep it. You might be able to get it to heal up if you give it plenty to work with and do your best to stop the bacteria that naturally live on your teeth from getting inside and widening it (and they will do that given half a chance)...

In any case, I couldn't tell you about dental plans or expenses since it sounds like you're in a country where you have to pay for such things.... and we don't here.... but ideally you should see a dentist about it ... since it should be repaired ASAP.... If you can't manage it yourself and you leave it... it will certainly get worse...

Most people have craze lines in their front teeth and is nothing to worry about. It would cost probably $50 to get it checked out.

If u don't get it filled, it will rott from the inside out & will need to be pulled & could cause a disease that will spread though out ur ggums & u could lose even more teeth,if not all of them, I know someone who just got her's all yanked out & just told me how she wished she fixed a cracked tooth, that started it. Don't make me tell ya I told U so.

it may not cause any problem as long as u r asymptomatic....hwever if the tooth becomes symptomatic....like pain, change of color then u may need a dentist appointment...
