Go to a SAAB dealership and look in their workshop you will see lots of saabs getting fixed, not getting serviced, but fixed.

WHICH SAAB car do you have here,, JOHN! The 900 series takes about TWENTY MINUTES to change the clutch, since it is located near the RADIATOR on the front of the car! TYPICALLY A CLUTCH kit is about $300 or less! ANYWAYS, SAABS are excellent, until GM bought into them and cheapened them up, a COMMON GM practice. They REQUIRE special EUROPEAN GRADE full synthetic oil and NO VALVOLINE EVER! And NO PRESTONE either! They use the BEST suppliers common to BMW< BENZ and AUDI?VW< namely ZF trannies, ATE GIRLING brakes and BOSCH electricals and injection systems! GOOD LUCK!

our saab 9000 blew it's head gasket had a second hand head put on and the following year it blew again. Needless to say I now own a different vehicle £900 a time would work out too expensive.

No, never. LOL>>>I just owned 93 Sports Combi 3 months ago.
It's a wonderful manchine: fun to drive.
Actually, before I owned 9000 CS and never got any problem because I took care of it regularly.
As long as you maintain your car regularly, you won't have your car broken down.
BTW, SAAB is a good car. I suggest you to go get one: flying !!

yes, any machine if used or abused will require basic maintenence procedures for enduring use if not more complex procedures. Still not convinced, leave the lights on while in a mall, drain the fluids or just any one: water, oil, trany fluid, differential(axle) oil etc and see how far you'll get. If your question is a feigned compaint simply ignore it all and you won't be disappointed long
