courier will be around $10. usually they will call you when they get your camera and determine what's wrong and tell you how much it costs. a "minor" repair could be under $100. you can call their customer service phone number and they might have an idea as to the cost.

I would shop around and get prices for new cameras so when they call you to tell you how much it is you'll know if it's better to buy a new one.

There are rumours that Fuji could purchase olympus. this might in all probability propose a consolidation of product lines, Fuji might in all probability communicate rangefinder type compacts and commonplace compacts, olympus might proceed to make interchangable lens cameras with the olympus compacts dropped. Fuji sent me an e mail the different day with a number of their new products, one in each and every of which replaced into face cream, which replaced right into a product line that had rung some alram bells interior of Olympus, possibly even greatest to the uncovering of the dodgy dealings. Olympus has a solid technology and medical branch, and the digital camera type is lots respected, so I recon that in spite of the present scandal, the type is powerful adequate to be ideal to a pair different company who might proceed to marketplace olympus cameras. Fuji have their very own product line and the olympus CSC line is powerful so theres room for the two manufacturers to proceed if a merger or buyout surpassed off.

If it's under warranty then about £5-7, depending on what postage insurance you buy (it's probably worth getting enough to cover the cost of a new camera, just in case the postal service lose or damage it).

if it's under warranty then they should send you a postage paid envelope to send it to them. i had lots of problems with my fuji camera, so make sure you ask for this envelope as some of the spods who answer the phone don't tell you. also, include a letter detailing what's wrong with your camera or what you suspect to be wrong. i had to send mine back 3 times because either some twit didn't enter on their computer what was wrong with it or the computer went wrong.
they did send me a nice big memory card as compensation though :)

It all depends on size, weight, and which courier you are using. Might however be better and safer to use a local camera repair shop?
