when i try it keeps telling me i am trying to install it a nd i need a liscense number. i went to add and remove and it wont do.i push start and went to programs and seen i there and tryed to uninstall and it wont any ideas how to get rid of it. thankyou.

this is most probably because of a corrupted setup or some missing files
on the alternate u can try the registry editor idea
if u are not adopted to that
go to start>run and type "regedit" without quotes
and then in the program itself go to edit>search and search for the keys with the name of the program and the manufacturing company and delete all those keys and it will be done for u

Go to Start Menu
Than select Control Panel
Now select add or remove programs..
Find the AVG in the list and high light it by clicking onto it
Than click uninstall..

hi!
if u follow me then i should suggest u to not install the AVG antivirus as it is not so good it doesn't means that it doesn't clean the virus but it shows virus every time when u scan ur computer because it shows virus in all the .exe file of the computer means of ur windows also.
so in point of view it is not so good or work properly.
i suggest u some of the antivirus which i think are better then the AVG antivirus.
1) Norton ANtivirus 2007 but it little bit slow down ur computer but it is far far better then the any antivirus
2) Panda antivirus this is next to the Norton Antivirus in every respect this is good
3) Mcafee it is good only when u hav internet connection and u update it regularly
4)Quick heel antivirus light as well as good antivirus
from my point of view use the antivirus that are suggested above

Try unplugging from the internet when you uninstall.

well try to install it when u start the process it ask u whether repair or remove or install then un-install the software.
