As a christian, it is a foundation for our beliefs..The "Old Testament or Hebrew scriptures are what we refer to in deciding our faith. Based on its history, and accuracy in prophecy that gives us hope it is the true religion. As you know from the Old Testament or Greek/Christian scriptures they incorporate the Hebrew scriptures and make one harmonious book. Like the Apostle Paul said all scripture is inspired and beneficial for teaching and reproving and setting things straight.

Judaism does not accept Jesus as the Christ (Messiah) which is the foundation of the Christian faith so it is basically an enemy of Christianity.
Romans 11:28 "From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers;"

Keep in mind that Judaism today is not based on the Bible, it is based on the Talmud. Even in the days of Jesus He said to them. Matthew 15:6 "...by this you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition."

There no longer remains any "classic" form of Judaism in the world, as it has been continually splintered and inculturated since the late 1st century.

Just as well, because it's also been obsolete since then, too.
