well for those who still calling muslims murderers or killers, if so then y the islamic religion is the fastest growing religion in the world??? y doesnt the same happen for other religions, i've never heared of a muslim who became jewish or christian...i think some of u still have sick minded...

I think that you raise good points, and that you're right about the underlying idea.
What's going on here is that in order to survive religions play on our innate fear and dislike of strangers. Islam provides a clearly identifiable source of strangers that Christianity can use to gather and hold onto adherents.
As far as I can see, the main difference between "terrorists" and everyone else is that the United States doesn't (openly) arm the people we refer to as "terrorists". Then when those people have to defend themselves without the use of our weapons, we call them "terrorists" and pretend to have the moral high ground.

I've never heard of anyone being labelled a terrorist just because they grow a beard.
When a nun covers herself it is from personal choice. When a Muslim woman covers herself it is not necessarily personal choice, since in some societies and some countries failure to do so results in grave consequences up to and including death.
A girl would not be allowed to attend University wearing a balaclava and if a Muslim girl is not allowed to attend University wearing a face mask for the same reason then that is perfectly acceptable - Rules should apply to everyone, no exceptions for religious or any other reason.
A person's religion should only be put on trial if their religion is relevant to the case. Where a Christian's religion is relevant to the crime they have committed (e.g. when someone kills a doctor for religious reasons) then it is most certainly mentioned, and rightly so. The same should be true of any religion, when it's relevant to the events being reported.
Intentionally killing innocent people is certainly not a noble or respectable action under any circumstances.

Unfortunately your religon is suffering as a whole for the actions of a few zealots. It is a shame but that is just the way people associate things these days. If the 9/11 terrorist had been Russian, then no one would be upset at the Muslims. Bin Ladin and his followers announced responsibility for the 9/11 incident and they claimed Jihad. I don't think every Muslim who has a beard is a terrorist, or that every Muslim woman is oppressed. But some Muslim men that are associated with terrorist organizations have beards and some Muslim women are oppressed. In a country(USA) where we have freedom to do what we will, it is wrong for a University to prevent a Muslimah to wear her Hijab. You are wrong about Christains and Jews who murder or commit crimes, if they bring the Lord into it the media takes the ball and runs with it I promise. In conclusion, the news media in this country is very messed up. We(most intelligent) americans don't believe everything that we see or read. We realize that some of the people in Palestine and other places are trying to protect thier families and well they should. Innocent people suffer at times simply by association, from the misguided actions of a few individuals. It is a shame, but, it is the way of life.

Well! I too agree with most of your points. Now to answer Mr Richbro. First, the prophet married a 9 year old in a different era and he didn't consumate his relationship until her puberty. Second, you need to read books on Islam first before making accusations. Websites will give you only extract and passages, the real truth is hidden in those authentic books which one needs to read to understand the true Islam.
If you really want to know about Islam, I would recommend the following books:

i will give that a shot;
to the people out there in the world, who are not familiar with Islam teaching and Morales, there is one thing they see and hear;
There are group of people who claim - and proud of that - they are Muslims who are doing terrorist acts and kill innocent people..
Now, people has known different kinds of terrorist acts with different maniac reasons, but this is the first time in the contemporary history that the terrorists claims that God wants that, or the Islam taught them so, and they easily can pick a verse from Quraan or a Hadith to give their claim a solid ground!
Those people have seen some strikes on TV of Arabs and Muslims dancing at the roof tops and celebrating the 9\11 attacks.
Can you imagine what all that incidences can make to the average non-muslim person in his idea about this religion?
And here we are, the group of muslims who KNOW that Quraan and Allah never said those things and He definitely doesn't want people to be that stupid and ignorant. trying to defend Islam by making these naive comparisons, well to summarize the answers for your questions it is a shame that there are people among us monopolized the speak in behalf of Allah, twisting His intentions and giving a wrong interpretetions.

The difference is that Catholic nuns choose that way of life.Muslim women in some countries do not get the choice.

Basically the media is portraying all those things from the western viewpoint. Infact anything political, religious, or anything else is going to be from the westen viewpoint as long as you are in America. People of true understanding know there are two sides to every story. They are currently in the process of desensitizing us which means things could get a lot worse before they get better. I'm afraid another World War is on the way. really?? i live in Australia and know lots of muslims grow their beards, hey we have no probs here! or the muslim girls that cover all theirselves, or wearing whatever they want to wear to uni.
but when killing other people, or hurting other ppl, of course its a crime..doesnt matter to watever religion.
so if u find all those things in ur country, move here hey! we are a laid back country that respects all religion..as long as its not an extremist one...

oMg! I agree with you!! i don't ask much because i am still in a low level! but when I answer a question and look at other peoples answers! I mean at least be rude and mad and ridicules for a reason, not just insult because you feel like it , i mean people ask inasent questions and i find rude annoying answers!
