How do I make it so that it will stop posting my header on the 1st page? Whenever I try to change it on page two, it results in making my 1st page screw up too. So if I put "Page 2" on pg 2, then it shows up as "pg2" on the 1st page too.

Look for 'Start On' in the header/footer menu.

A better, but harder option is to go to the bottom of the first page and insert a 'division break' as you would a page break. This will allow you to format the first page with a different set of rules to the other pages.

Instead of insrting page number manually do it with the help of insert menu. Then it wil give different number to different pages and you caan even choose even and odd pages for different headers and footers

Open FILE menu and choose PAGE SETUP. On the fourth tab you'll find check boxes for "Different odd/even page" and "Different first page". Click on the second one and there you have it!

Between each page put in a section break (INSERT >> Break >> Section >> New). You can then have different headers and footers for each page.
