Wow, this is some question. While most people want hetrosexual kids, you are actually asking if parents will be dissapointed or even ashamed if their kids are not born gay. Though I have absolutely nothing against gays, I am a straight guy and my wife to is straight ( I can vouch for that). I see no reason why I should be ashamed if my sons turn out to be hetrosexual - in fact I would prefer it that way.

I doubt if thats the norm for parents.I think most parents hope their children will be heterosexual and not gay because gay people have so many challenges to overcome in our society. Also, most parents hope for grandchildren. Of course,I think parents should love their kids no matter what the sexual persuasion.

The answer to this question differs from every parent. Normal (i.e. good) parents should love their children and accept them for who they are. Some parents may be disappointed by this, especially fathers, but if they really love their children and if they're thinking right, they would in the long run accept their gay kid.

By the way, I believe it should have been 'homosexual' (refers to gays, lesbians, etc.) instead of 'heterosexual'. :)

A child is a gift from God unconditional love should be showed and supportt. Every life is not lived the same how would the world be if every day we all did exactly the same thing.

parents as a rule love their kids more than expecting perfection from them. Be yourself... and don't worry about it
