When Jesus sent his disciples to preach the Kingdom of God, among some other things, he told them: Luke 9:4Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.
What's the meaning of this disposition in your opinion? Could you share us your opinions?
Luke 9:1When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3He told them: "Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. 4Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. 5If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them." 6So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.

Because it was the one chosen or provided for them by the source.

If they decided to move to another it would have been because they had judged it to be better. Judgment is the great deceiver. It is never going to be a logical substitute for divine guidance.

There are spiritual realities we cannnot even comprehend!
I heard a psychic said HI to a statue of a buddha given to
her, and she felt something and looked back, and saw a little
ball of light emerge from the statue and start following her.
She said she sensed it was not friendly. That made me wonder
about the command to not take anything from pagan cities
in the Old Testamant.
Is it because idol worship is not as vain as we think, and it
actually attracts evil energies? Or we PUT evil energies in
them with our own spiritual power? Who knows.
But I have a feeling spiritual things were much more powerful
in the Old Days, than they are now. In our big cities, with
the noise pollution. We are "dead" spiritually. Not able to
sense anything of a spiritual nature.
But we can train ourselves to perceive again.

It shows that God was directing the effort and guided them to the house. If the person refused them, then the rest of the town would have been unresponsive or even violent to the disciples.

My gut-reaction guess would be a reputation thing. If they stay at the same place, they can be vouched for where they are at all times, so no accusations of being party animals or any such thing could be held against them.

Just makes sense.
