Hopefully your car should have been re-called by now for the UK campaign which replaces headlights, the headlights were designed in a manner that made them overheat and the internal mount for the lowbeam unit would overheat and would become brittle and break. The unit has been modified and is currently under a campaign which can be checked by your local NISSAN dealer. Both headlights are replaced by modified units which have been designed to withstand the heat involved in lighting. This would also include the replacement cover for the headlight.
Cheers

Lots of lamps use rubber covers around the bulb. The light will be ok with out them for a while if not driven in the pouring rain.

I don't this so but as alternatives you can always go to somewhere like Kragens or Pep Boys and order one through them. I've esp. found Pep boys to be a cheap way to go than the dealer.

Or if you're hard off, call up your local pick and pull.

yeah, Pep Boys or Advance Auto Parts, Autozone. And they'll tell you what part fits your car. They might even help you install it if they're feeling nice ;-)
