And they seem to hog the armrests and have to open their newspaper as wide as possible (though I do notice women do this as well, including sitting with their legs wide open too)!

They're trying to look 'macho' as if to say 'look at my tackle'
The reason is that noone has seen their tackle for years as they are ignorant, small d*cked, selfish, pig-headed, sexist, tossers whose only chance of getting laid is when they are laid to rest.

Maybe they sit with their legs wide open because they've got a lot to dangle between there. It is perhaps a genetic thing to make the women take notice!

well they need to have their legs apart for comfort but when they spread their legs wide it is often just ignorance and selfishness.
The same applies for newspapers, armrest hogging and putting their bags on seats to discourage people from sitting next to them.

OK here is the true skinny...you can judge how a man feels about himself (I swear I read this) by how far apart he has his legs when he sit's. Closed=insecure .......About shoulder width(his knees compared to his shoulder's)=ideal ..... Wide open=Big ego watch out! And frankly with some observation I have found all the above to be fairly accurate. :)

The law of inverse proportions applies. The wider the legs are apart, the smaller the sausage between. We all have to emphasise something don't we.

i was squashed in the back of a car last Saturday with a bloke on either side of me. I was crushed & yes.... both had their legs wide apart.
