Wow... although I won't take your word on it, I'll definitely be reading up on these historical figures. I don't see why you'd want to take away people's hope though, as you may have very well done with mine...
EDIT: From what I've read so far, most of what you are saying is a bunch of propaganda designed to bash Christianity, more than likely based on shaky evidence...

Sorry, but I don't believe in any of those and if anyone proposes a hundred more, I still would not believe in those stories.

The whole concept is based on what one believes to be true. The Bible, to me is the truth. The reason that I believe this is that many of the prophecies have come true. There were over a hundred different prophecies of Jesus' life in the Old Testament. Every one of them came true. This is not made up after the fact, but was foretold and written of how He fulfilled them all.

In addition, what are your sources. My wife is unfortunately Buddhist from before I returned to Christianity. The first Buddha did not perform miracles, etc and was not born of a virgin based on historical documentation. Therefore all of your statements above are in question.

There are a lot of copy cats in all manner of life. I know that Christ lives by the spirit within me. It is the truth. There is nothing that can change how one feels, when the truth is manifest inside one. One cannot deny the truth or they will become a liar. One cannot lie about something that hits them so strongly and permanently. You likely have not experienced this, and maybe never will. First you have to have an open mind. Then you have to pray. Then you will receive the personal revelation within your bosom which repeats itself often. Your stories may be true or may not. Mine is definitely true.

No. I KNOW God. I KNOW the way, the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father (God) except through Jesus Christ, the ONLY Son of the living God.

This is a dead steal from the story of Jesus.
.Jesus christ, in his teachings, actually used stories from the Old testament [example; noah] to show that the O.T. was also God's word to us.

And I'm supposed to believe this because why? Oh yes, I forgot. Yahoo Answers. Even if this is written somewhere it doesn't change the recipe. Many people enjoy their faith because it gives them hope and comfort. What gives with this?

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
