I have been with this chef for nearly a year. He was promoted and so no longer had time for me. We recently broke up with him citing 'no time for me'. Yet he still calls and when I tell him that I know he has lost feelings, he strongly disagrees. Why is it men say things they dont mean? If he loves me, why wont he be with me regardless of his no time situation AND come on, if u wanted to make time, you would right..

maybe he is calling because he took a little time off and realilzed that you are what he really wanted a reason that he might have broke it off with you is that he felt things were getting really serious for him and he freaked out a little bit because of a fear of commitment the only real way to tell is to just ask him what the deal is tell him you don't want to play games and you need to know where you stand so you know how to move forward

Right. If he was interested enough he would make time for you. It's time for you to move on and stop wasting time on this guy. If you want to remain friends with him you should but I'd give up on dating him....he's told you how he feels.

You are right, if he wanted to be with you, he'd make time. End of story. He doesn't want to be with you. So stop begging him to admit to non-existent, lingering feelings for you. Move on.

You need to accept his call, meet and listen him. Some time circumstances does not allow to do what is generally expected.
