A few of them are aways stealing and eating our food. Even stuff that is not wrapped up like sandwiches. I would like some ideas on what I can put in the food that will NOT hurt them but teach them a lesson. Management will do nothing about this problem. It is hard to work a 12 hour shift only to come to break w/o a lunch.

Well Mr. Moz, you could write a song like... Stop Stealing My Food, Fatty. Or... You Big Fat Pig, Stop Eating My Stuff. Or.. The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get to Putting Laxatives In My Sandwich.
Or... Bigmouth Strikes Again!
That might put them off.

Think about it.
Get your errand boy to buy you a hot, fresh lunch. Take the money from petty cash and write it off as a business expense if your management ignores your requests to fix the problem. When it costs management money from petty cash, they'll spring into action and enforce the 'no' stealing food issue...

Fill bottles with vinegar. Prepare fake sandwiches with styropor in it .instead of cheese. Or use sambal olek / chili paste instead of jam. Don't forget to mark the fake sandwiches in a way only you can tell! If that doesn't help, slip unboiled eggs in their shoes when they don't look. Or put a piece of butter in their briefcase when they're having their break. Pesty people deserve pesty counter measures.

what a weird problem. Your solution is tempting but not very sensible. How do they get your food? Can you keep it in your desk or briefcase or pocket or lock it in your car or something so they can't get their hands on it.How about getting together and buying a tough safe or lockbox? Have you tried talking to them? Sometimes if you don't say something, people think they are getting away with it. I guess you could try a laxative in it but what if it kills someone?Can you steal theirs?

I think the best thing to do is to bring food you can keep by you that you don't have to keep in the fridge. Don't try to get revenge, bbecause they might put somethign in your food!

Go get some hot pepper stuff like people shake on pizza ..... shake it all over everything, or a hot sauce ..... guaranteed to make people stop and think next time.

Thats wicked rude. Buy one of those mini fridges and keep it in your office and then you won't have to worry about jerks like that.
