When I was in church we held an anual Harvest Festival, usually on Halloween to provide the kids with an alternative to trick or treating. Many churches hold a "Trunk or Treat" where members gather sort of like a tailgate party with their trunks open and candy inside and the children "trunk or treat" from car to car. Also, I still pass out Christian tracts to trick or treaters every year.
Blessed Be

Halloween is an American import! I believe that Christians refer to it as All Souls Day, followed by all Saints Day (Or does it preceed it? Not sure)
Why not have an All Sinners Day?
Pagans and Druids celebrated the Winter Solstice long before Christianity hi-Jacked it into Christmas.

just curious what od you consider as "Celebrating" it? I mean for the vast majority of people its simplyNOT a religious holiday any more than... presidents day or something.
I imagine some pagan types of people may actually have religious celebration relating to halloween, but for most people? c'mon.

christianity is not an 'original' relegion - it is a mishmash of several relegions, in particular paganism. so why not celibrate halloween ??? afterall, most 'christian' festivals are just pagan festivals that have been altered to fit. (both christmas and easter existed as festivals way before the catholic church got their claws into them)
