Of course it's ok. Generally it is the guy who asks the girl out, but the way things have become it doesn't even matter who asks who. Nowadays it's just the same if the girl asks and vica versa. So, ask him to meet-good luck;)

Of course...In fact I know a young lady that met a guy while in college when he showed up at her apartment to say hi to her roomate who he attended highschool with. The roomate wasn't home at the time and thy chatted for a bit. She asked if he would be interested in hanging out since they were both new to the area...Long story short they have been dating for five years now and are looking at marriage.
It is not what you do..It is how you do it.
Ask him out to something fun, maybe with a few other friends, nothing too intimate to start. If it's a goodtime he's sure to ask you out after that.
Don't forget to give him the chance after your asking him out for him to ask you out. Might take a little time, but it is worth the wait. Most men don't move as quickly as women.

There is nothing bad if a girl asks to meet, in the sence that you see a thing that you cherish no point delaying go for it. Cos´' the opposite sex might not notice you.

Girl, he should want to more than you want to. Just hint at it like "oh it would be cool if we met sometime" but let him do the rest. Let him "offically" ask you. Then take it from there.
