Dear friend. The interviewing officers are best talented people. They will easily understand from your answer that whether you are giving real answer or false answer. Without making proper statement they will not reject it. Once it happened to my friend family. The girl was a young widow of British citizen. When her wood be husband was interviewed just by the slip of the tongue he said his intention of going to England is for getting citizen ship. His visa was rejected. The officer when inquired he has explained that he has asked 70 questions. From that he said he was able to understand his main intention is not marrying that lady and he just wanted to use the opportunity of marrying the lady to go to London. It took about one year for them to prove in the court to get the visa. You must be clear in your intention of visit. Next alternative is approaching the court if your request is genuine. It may take one more year. You should not try to hide even a small fact . If you are honest, they also will be honest. Nobody will like to separate the couples just because of any silly reason. The mistake is some ware in your intention. You can get the reason for the rejection of your visa through layer since your wife is British citizen.

You must make an appeal. In some cases, unfortunately clearance officers are just looking for an way to reject your application, so I also strongly advise you to seek for an immigration lawyer or adviser, and their help. In the appeal statement, you must include why you are appealing, and what about of your case handling by the clearance officer was done unfairly or improperly. Check IAS's website, maybe they can help you.
Good luck.

Maybe you are the wrong skin colour!!

I would recommend taking the government to the European human rights court and sue them for being racist. This way you will definitely get into Britain. not only will you get a passport, but also a free house, car, food and I can guarantee that you will never have to work again. British people are very hospitable to immigrants, they go out to work and pay a fortune in taxes, so that people like you who have no right to be in their country don't have too. Isn't that nice of them?

I think you should appeal. Out of interest where are you from? You seem to have a good grasp of the English language (as good if not better than many of the Brits on here!) which shows a good level of education. Maybe your wife need sto talk to them too, get yourself a lawyer to help as well.

Good luck, I'd hate to separated form my husband in this way.
