18 year girl is a grown up girl and she should understand if u are friendly with her and explain her that she has lost her father. U could take out all the photographs starting from his childhood and show those photos one by one and let her live the days again .U have to relate every photo with a story so that she lives that moment. I understand i would be a very touchy moment for u both but that is what is life!!!!!!!!!!All the best

If he is long lost & he never attempted to meet his daughter or contact you then its better she should not contact him or meet him, because he might insult her, & her feelings would be hurt.
