MUDDY BUDDIES
9 c. any Chex cereal
1 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
Pour cereal in large bowl. Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in microwave safe bowl or saucepan. If microwave, high 1-1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. If on top of stove, stir until melted. Add vanilla.
Pour chocolate mixture over cereal. Stir until all pieces are coated. Pour cereal in bag with confectioners' sugar. Seal and shake until evenly coated. Spread on wax paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

Pour cereal into large bowl and set aside. Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in vanilla.
Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Then pour cereal mixture into bag with powdered sugar. Seal securely. Shake until all pieces are well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container. Makes 9 cups.

Muddy Buddy Recipe

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
5-6 cups Corn Chex or Rice Chex
powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
Mix the peanut butter and chocolate chips in a pan on the stove top, until melted.
You can also do this in the microwave.
Just microwave for 1 1/2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
Add the cereal to the melted mixture.
Mix until cereal is coated with the chocolate/peanut butter mixture.
Add enough powdered sugar into a large zip lock bag.
Pour cereal into the bag and shake until the cereal is well coated.

1/4 c Margarine
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Powdered sugar
Pour cereal into large bowl. Set aside.
Either in microwave or on top of the stove melt the chocolate chips, peanut
butter and margarine. Add vanilla.
Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly
coated. Pour cereal into large plastic bag with the powdered sugar. Seal
and shake until all the pieces are well coated. Spread on waxed paper to
cool.
