scientists vs the bible?

scientist and anthrapoligists have proven that dinosaurs exsisted millions of years ago and yet the bible states that man was around years ago right now how can this be because the bible also states that mankind and dinosaurs coexisted at the same time yet the bible states that mankind has only been around for so many years how can this all be what im asking is how can the bible say that mankind and dinosaurs were around at the same time and also say that mankind were on this planet alone and that we were in fact the first here when scientists have found fossils that are billions of years old also how can they tell how old bones are cos they dont have date tags on em??????

bible is proved wrong by bible itself. thier mathematics is very weak. they insist, nobody still believes them. thats why they are scared.

scientists are simple individuals. they are not here to prove a wrong right. but bible has the habit of putting the cart before the horse.

i think bible is getting confused at every step. according to bible, world should have been creted around the year approx. 3700BCE.

Dinosaurs perished about 150 million years of before. that is a proven fact.

Did you 'say' that all in one breath? Just kidding. Okay, that's what carbon dating and other element dating are all about. Human beings are relatively new at this kind of thing. You must remember that it was only about four hundred years ago that the Catholic Church had Giordano Bruno tortured for years and finally burned at the stake because he thought that the sky was endlessly deep (as we all think of it now.)
The Bible can be interpreted any way that you think is right. Some christians want their brand of christianity taught in schools so they attack science as a 'wedge' into the school system.
The idea is simply to say that their ideas are as good as natural science so they should have the kids singing praises to the LORD. Their LORD that is.
The Bible doesn't mention huge monsters that used to roam the planet. A couple of mentions of Leviathan, or Behemoth is not enough to slough off herds of giant beaked triceratops wandering around eating everything in their path, or the huge meateaters like the T.Rex which would have had humans hiding in caves barely surviving, never mind making cities and farms and building pyramids and arks and stuff. Life in the Bronze Age would have been 'hairy' enough as it was, what with all the different clans fighting each other without a having a bunch of dinosaurs to deal with.
This religious revival is just that, a revival, which will eventually fade away into history, much like the dinosaurs.

However science is an exact study. Not legends or stories. The first life appeared on earth about 3,000 million years ago and the first jellyfish appeared about 600 million years ago, followed by molluscs about 500 million years later. A reptile called Dimetrodon appeared 275 million years ago. Dinosaurs controled the land beginning about 150 million years ago....but man (in the form of Dryopithecus) showed up 15 million years ago. Dryopithecus was more ape-like but was able to walk semi-erect, he was followed by the Australopithecus about 4 million years ago, Homo habilis was next, about 2 million years ago, and Homo erectus about 1.5 million years ago, then came the Neanderthal man 100,000 years ago and he lived at the same time as Homo sapiens (Modern Man). Dating of fossils is done by radioactive isotopes. Every radioactive chemical has a half life as it degrades into stable elements, and we often use radioactive carbon which is taken up by all living things and we simply do a measurement of how much has changed and how much remains. But even identifying the fossil is usually sufficient as we know when that type of animal existed. In today's world, evolution is still underway, usually modification to a different food source, coloration or adaptation to the new environment. Garter Snakes still exist in Central Park New York as they have learned to avoid contact with humans.

The Bible never mentions dinosaurs, actually, nor does it say that men were here before animals...it's the opposite, actually. Interestingly enough, dinosaur bones were found in places that were not inhabited by men in earlier civilizations. My theory is that they were exterminated by the flood before men populated the areas where they lived.

Animals were created first according to the bibull then man then women. No one not even scientist know exactly how long we were here. Carbon dating is what they use but it is so inaccurate. Even science believe in a spiritual aura that only humans have. The truth is that we are created from a mathematical law that lets our universe exist. Just go with your gut feeling and you will find the truth.

If humans coexisted with REAL dinosaurs then I imagine humans would go extinct very quickly.

Why not? Scientist base their findings on reality Facts and Evidence. The Bible is based on fantasy, there is no evidence to support it whatsoever. Bones etc are Carbon dated which is very accurate, I think it is only +- a few thousand years when we talk in millions of years..

I didn't know the Bible mentioned dinosaurs, but then again, I haven't read the Bible. I do, however, think that the evolutionary theory is far more correct than the theories of the Creationists, which I have read.
