Need to increase fluids. Also, 500 mg. chewable vitamin C. Increase by 500 mg. per day until you have no problem., just go right in and it's finished. If you get loose stools, then you cut back as it means you are taking more than you need. That is how to know you are getting enough C, as well as correcting your problem. I take 3000 mg. each day. It is a water soluble vitamin, meaning you cannot overdose, you will just pee it out if you take more than you need. Take it after food (so no stomach upset), and try to brush your teeth after, as it is acidic & can be hard on the tooth enamel day after day. It also often helps a lot of people to sleep more deeply and get better rested- a good thing to take for many reasons. Also in the meantime, there is an extremely gentle natural laxative you take at bedtime with a glass of water or juice. It is called Swiss Kriss, and health food stores have it. Sounds like your body is adapting to a lot of changes The C helps to adapt to stress, as you use more of it at that time.. Make sure you are getiing 2-3 cups of fresh produce each day, and exercise at least every other day to keep your insides moving too. Good luck & take care of yourself as well as hubby!

Try taking mineral oil (NOT MINERAL SPIRITS because that is poison). It is inexpensive. Have the pharmicist at your local drugstore help you if you are not sure. If you prefer a more herbal approach, a plant called plantain which is something like spinach can be boiled three times at 5 minutes per boil, dumping the water between each boiling because there is a bitter taste otherwise. Then eat it as you would spinach. But I would suggest the mineral oil and hope it works. Keep drinking the water, and don't hold back from seeking medical attention if nothing works. A visit to the doctor is still cheaper than the emergency room. Good luck.

I have constipation too. I used to go to toilet only once or twice a week. I tried many fibre as well but not much improvement until my friend recommend me the one Fibre drink which is very effective and it is made from 100% natural ingredient. Now I'm going to the toilet 2-3 times a day and my skin looks more vibrant. If you wish to solve the problem. Write to me at rz00800@yahoo.com

Good luck,
Raymond

P/S : You need to drink a lot of water to flush down the waste, other wise it will get jammed.

Few things required.
1. Eat lots of fibres like spinach, cabbage and meal made of whole flour.
2. Avoid red meat.
3. Drink at least 3 1/2 liters of water.
4. As a medicine try having "flea seed husk" at night with a glass of water. This is freely available in India. I do not know if u will get it at ur place.

I don't know where you are living but there may be a free clinic or a nurse health line you could call. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. That is the most important thing you can do. Shortterm you can use a laxative but do not become dependant on it. Relax! Stress can really mess up all your body systems.

I've had the same problem. All you have to do is to make sure to drink a LOT of water maybe like 6-8 cups a day. It really helped me.

You could try stool softeners, they are suppositories, but I have found that they work very well. Maybe even try some ex-lax to get you going.
