it totally depends on each individual person....... some 17 year olds can be mature for their age, and some 30 year old can act like kids... as long as u are happy, and neither of u mind about the age gap, then why should it matter ?

You are on safe ground and there should be no problems unless you make them.
It seems like she might be a real catch. First become friends and I mean friends and not lovers. Keep your pants on for a while and build the trust between you and then see how it goes later.
If you are good friends before anything else then you have a much better chance of having a relationship that will last.
If there is going to be any problems about age then it will show within a couple of months. Might be less.

I have been in exactly the same situation a few weeks ago. Me 28, her to get 18 a few days after meeting her the first time. My advice: KEEP AWAY!!! I know that not every gal turns out to be a f#*!ing stalker like the chick I unfortunately got known to but having been dating girls aged 17 to 20 for the last 10 years, I can only recommend to find someone in your age. Youngbloods mash your head after a while.

Could be a problem since she is under the legal limits...you know how soon she turns 18?? I'm 23 myself also I really wouldn't date anybody under the age of 18 not worth going to jail over

Age shouldn't matter. But people under 18 can be considered rape/molested/childabused etc, if they date guys over 18. I suggest you to get with her on her birthday as a gift to be on the safe side.
Really....age doesn't matter. Love is meant for everyone a different ages. Maybe you two were meant to be. Just the age difference is weird but not wrong.

There are men who wait years for their prospective mate to mature. That is love that will endure the stresses of life.
Until she is 18, you could be having legal problems. She is not of age and you should not be more than internet friends. There are laws in the United States regarding this issue.
Don't wreck your life over this. Wait a number of months so you at least have a chance for happiness.

Of course it doesn't bother you ..What older guy wouldn't want a young legal girl..
The thing is you are both in very different points in you life.
You've probably mentally matured and settled into life and she's not quite there yet..
I personally think the age difference is a bit too much.

i think it might not matter now but in the long run it will, in two years you will be 30 maybe wanting to settle down and stuff and she will only be 19 wanting to go out with her mates and girly hol etc, think carefully before you do anything, i had a relationship when i was 22 with a 35 year old and it didnt work out cos of the age diff.

She's pretty young. In fact in some countries, she would be considered UNDER AGE. It may not bother you, but I can tell you her dad may have a thing to say about it. Texting is harmless, but I would probably suggest finding someone in their 20's at least.
