Ok hi! I'm Alana. I have a 10 month old teacup chihuahua called Lilly and a 2 year old male teacup Chihuahua called Zack. Both are pure breeds of the breed Teacup chihuahua. I wont 2 breed them now (I will start 2 morrow) but i need help on what to do. i really wont it for the money because i wont a car but it costs $14,600 so i need some money for it and breeding my babies is a good idea to me.

i dont have the money 2 do tests and stuff for them but i have a bit of money to buy a welping box for my little Lilly. my sister (Mary-Anne) said female dogs can have babies when they are 7 months old. i was going to breed her then but i was working and didnt have time. now i got fired, i have time to look after lilly and her puppies. is 10 months old old enough?

what do i need to know before breeding them and how do i do it? do i just leave them in the same room for a few hours? any help is good.

It is best to allow them some very private time..Just give them a nice meal, and burn some incense, and they will begin to feel romantic in no time... However, if you actually want Lilly and her babies to live, you would wait until she is 2 years old..

I have a 10 month old teacup chihuahua ...I wont 2 breed them now (I will start 2 morrow) <<<

10 months is way too young to breed a female, she needs to be at least 2 years old.

>>>i wont a car but it costs $14,600 so i need some money for it and breeding my babies is a good idea to me. <<<

There is no way you will make that sort of money. Chihuahuas usually have an average litter of 2.

>>>i dont have the money 2 do tests and stuff for them<<<

Are you aware that chihuahuas often need c-sections? Especially the extra small ones. This usually happens in the middle of the night, so there's an emergency fee on top of it. Depending on where you live, you are likely looking at $400-$1000. You need to have money set aside in case this or anything else goes wrong. Then there is the extra cost of feeding your female while she's nursing, then feeding the growing puppies, plus the cost of taking the pups to the vet for their first shots and checkup.

>>>my sister (Mary-Anne) said female dogs can have babies when they are 7 months old.<<<

Sure they can. And little girls can have babies when they are 12 years old, but it's not a good idea.

>>> do i just leave them in the same room for a few hours? <<<

NO, don't leave them unsupervised. It is very easy for one or both to be injured if something goes wrong. For example, if the female is not ready she may attack the male and hurt him. Or if she panics while they are tied (yes, it happens), she can seriously injure him by trying to pull away.

10 months old is far too young to breed any dog.

If she is below size standard for the breed, you can expect to pay for a C-section. Even a dog within standard often has problems with delivery and a C-section is required. (Depending on your area..between $600 and $1200 dollars).
You risk death of both your dog and the puppies. Assuming she does have puppies and you want to sell them; Be prepared to show the potential buyers copies of all genetic testing done for both the parents, so that they know that the sire and dam are healthy.

BTW.. A TEACUP is a piece of CHINA that you drink from. Not a dog.

There is NO dog registry that registers a dog as a TEACUP. It's a slang term that is used to sell runts for a higher price.
Advertising a dog as a teacup is a sales gimmick or someone who knows NOTHING about the breed they are reproducing.

First of all you can't just say you want to breed and put them together and it happens--the female needs to be in heat. At 10 months old and of such a small breed it would be dangerous to breed her now. Also breeding is not to make money, a good breeder will rarely break even after all the vet bills to ensure mom and dad are healthy, the cost of taking care of anything that goes wrong, the puppy health and such.

Breeding for profit is irrisponsible, things like that lead to all the health problems because uneducated people breed run of the mill dogs together not checking to make sure that the puppies won't inherit any genetic defects and such.

I would say it's probably better not to do it for the money but because you think raising a litter is a good idea. You never know whether the offspring will sell and when you might get a new job. Also, you should probably determine the invoice cost of the car at a library and get help on haggling. Lots of people get ripped off because they don't know how to buy a car. If they are charging much more than invoice plus $100, you'd probably be getting gypped.

If you read up enough and want to go with it, you allow them to be together when the female dog (it wouldn't let me use the b word, it thought I was misusing it) is in heat. Normally it takes much less than one hour.

Don't even think about it 'till the puppy is at east 2 yrs old, she should be spayed do you know how many dogs that size die having usually 1 pup that rarely survives. Leaving her unspayed is like a death sentence, if she's not watched every minute she's out and in heat there is a chance she will get attacked by any male that's out without a leash, and they will get over a fence to get to her, didn't you find out anything about teacup anythings when you got her and the risks in breeding, and to even ask when she's 4 mo old is just plain nuts!!!

your 10month old puppy is to young to breed !!! Breeding your teacup chihuahua may cost you more money than you will earn . At best she will only have 2 pups and most likely need a C-section that will most likely be expensive . Breeding your dog is NO way to make fast cash or a living !!!

well you claim to be a chihauhas LOVER??? well then if this were true & your pets were as important to you as you claim you wouldnt be trying to breed her WAY TOO young just so yuo can have money, sounds pretty selfish to me. I mean do you already have good responsible owners ready to take theses puppies?? Have you screened these people to make sure you"babies" go to good loving homes?? Do you have money set aside for the puppies innitial vet costs & check ups?? Do your 2 dogs have papers to prove their heritage?? If not those puppies wont be worth half as much as you may think you will get for them> It doesnt matter is they are pure bred without papers you will not get top dollar for them. Im honestly not trying to be mean but hunny breeding dogs is A LOT more than you realize, its not jsut letting the 2 pooches have a lil fun & then VIOLA!! you have cute little money bags at your beckon call!! you need to do you r homework & try to think about what you saying, I want ot breed dogs so I can have money?? First of all, any reputable breeder will tell you your immature & irrisponsible, breeding of dogs is suppossed to be to improve the line & make a better more successfull breed not to make sum quick cash for your own selfish purposes. You say you have no job & Im sorry for your situation but it takes money to make money honey & puppies COST MONEY!! you can expect people to buy your non vet checked, unvaccinated, unhealth checked puppies for big money when they can go to a reputable breeder & be assured theat the puppy they get will be happy & healthy & free from genetic disorders & complications!!! You REALLY need to get your head straight & take responsiblity for the things you seem to hink are the answers to your problems.

Don't worry about it.

Start rtying to beed an immature dwarf (genetically and health questionable) female and you won't have her. SHE WILL DIE IN LABOR . Any puppies will DIE because you don't have a clue.
These malformed dwarfs can not stand most surgical or medical proceedures and have an extremely high rate of death in labor.

Here is a suggestion if you want money - GO GET A JOB

(Of course on the other hand who would hire someone so illiterate that they can't spell "wAnt"???)

To begin with the ten month old is way too young. Secondly since you do not know what you are doing you should not even be considering breeding dogs at all. Thirdly:
Why do you want to beed a dog?

dont breed her just for money, most chihahias only have one puppy at a time, this will not help get you a car, as you must spend that money on the vet, why dont you go stand on the street corner and sell your self instead, thats about what you are doing to your dog, get them spayed and neutered.
