God is the creater of the universe and the lover of your soul. God gave you free will to ask this question and me free will to answer the question. Although at present, we "see through a glass darkly", someday we will have a better understanding of God. I believe our minds can't comprehend God, we see him as we see an eclipse, reflected in the faces of other who live to honor God.
I wonder if our worship of God is pleasing to him because it is through worship that we communicate to God, or if worship helps us to reach the midset in which we can communicate with God.

God and gods appears to perform a necessary function for the human psyche. Does God need human worship? No, since God is omnipotent, God has no needs. Do humans need to worship a God or gods? Yes. Humans are incomplete, unfulfilled and need to worship, in order to alleviate fear and stress. ;)

If one is pragmatic enough to understand that who is god then he should accept that "power" is god. If we see behind in the history; power is all time god, weather it was produced by money, religion, politics etc.
