some doctors like Dr.phil says that you should keep off it if you are trying to lose weight.

They won't help you lose weight ... nor will they cause diabetes
Diabetes is when your body can't use all the sugar that it produces causing a buildup

The reason diabetes occurs in the 1st place is because your pancreas cant cope with insulin production of its own...this doesnt mean that u shouldn't take care of yourself becaucse you should!! But...everything in MODERATION should keep you fit and healthy...unless u have a predeprosition to the disease in the 1st place. Happy healthy eating... :)

it depends which ones, stay towards the lean ones like turkey and roast beef. the hams are much too fatty....but seriously, if your trying to lose weight, stay away from bad carbs like bread and sugar and rice and pasta. more veggies , moderate amounts of fruit (sugar), and lots of exercise. cold cuts are not really a big issue

No. Dr. Phil maybe good at solving social problems, but I would l would look elsewhere for nutritional advice.

Cold cuts are high in fats.
Try chicken or turkey instead of pastrami or ham.

not good to lose weight and veggetarian is the healthiest diet as a rule but high protein is sometimes recommended for blood sugar problems please ask your Dr. for details that might apply
