Get rid of the piece of scum. You're correct and this is the way to weed out the vast majority of useless men (I'm a man, but this is fatherly advice).
In an ideal world, the MAN should be the one who sets the standard the you have, and should not stray from it even if you test him. Fat chance that you'll find someone like that today.

Keep yourself true to your values Cathy. I'm not suggesting that you need to become a nun to get what I am gonna say here. Do this only when you think you.. are.. ready. So many people out there don't care about you or anyone else but themselves. A person who repeatedly asks about sex wants the fun of sex but the desire they have of that sex experience doesn't guarantee you true love. If you know the nature of what true love is.. then you know just how rare it is to find because it is something that doesn't require sex to grow deep or strong. Don't let someone tell you your own personal worth is linked to how many times you have decided to "put out" in any instance because the people that wanna do that are going the azz backward way to try and find the presence of or the feeling of god in this material world.

Is virginity that important..
If u feel its important than fine...
People make it such a big issue out of it....
I do believe the first time u do .. it should be with someone special...not just a one night stand.
I am with ur boyfriend... on this..

DUMP HIS ***!
He's not valuing what you consider important, who in the hell does he think he is to ask you for something YOU ARE NOT going to just give away. You made it PERFECTLY CLEAR, on WHEN and WHERE and to WHO you were going to give your virginity up to.
This guy is a young guy and he's going to leave you...he is. He's going to leave because he's going to get bored eventually and move on and try it out with other girls.
It's bad news and you should move on.
If you don't give it to him...what do you think he's going to do? Think about it, he's going to look for someone who will...do you think he's going to marry you and value your choice to stick out that long with you and make a lifetime commitment? No, you and I know he's not going to do that.
So what are YOU going to do now?

he obviously thought that he would be able to break you down and get what he wanted. he's a jerk and you need to tell him that if he doesn't respect you desicion that he can get lost because it is not up for debate. don't give in to him because if you want to save your self that is and amazing personal choice and you should stick with it until you decide the time is right

Either you dump him for not respecting you or to give it to him sincerely. The dilemma would be that he may visit brothels to release his urge or he may someone else and dump you instead. You have to decide...

it depends on why you are saving yourself... is it for religious purposes, the fact that you don't wanna get pregnant, the fear of getting STDs, fear of a bad rep? ultimately it is YOUR choice... not his, or anyone else's. i personally do not feel that you should have to wait til marriage... but you should make sure that you are ready. don't just do it because he wants you to. and most importantly, if you decide to have sex, be sure to use protection.
