MashaAllah that is great sister. I have only read it once cover to cover and that was during this last Ramadan. I need to get on the ball more. I have 2 small children and am a super super clean freak lol so I am always cleaning when I am not taking care of my kids or husband. And yes I do spend to much time online so I have not excuse. May Allah help us all to read and memorize the Quran more. May He help you achieve your goal of memorizing it. Ameen

A big number of Muslims know the whole Qur'an by heart..I've read it from cover to cover many times and with some revision I can memorize at least the last five parts.

i too have read the quran cover to cover but sometimes (astagfirullah if i am wrong) i think we are in the minority sister. i speak with many Muslims who say incorrect things constantly and allow their culture to dictate their beliefs on Islam instead of the Quran. possibly this is only my environment. i feel the same is true of all faiths.
Yusuf Estes (a great speaker who spoke at my college) said very sternly "Islam is NOT a title! Islam is a verb. Either you submit to God's will and you are a Muslim; or you do not and you are not." i think there are many people who use their faith only as a title...
but this is just my opinion
Allah knows best
Asalamwalaikum

Muslims have hundreds of thousands of people who have memorized the holy Quran (Islamic holly book) so do you think that is a miracle of this book, I think it is, that is the reason that no body can attempt to change the holt Quran, it is transferred from generation to generation trough people, it is not only writhen but memorized, and recited and referenced everyday, God has said to his prophet PBUH. this is my book and I will keep it from being corrupted, it has been almost 1400 years since the book was sent to man kind by God through his last messenger Muhammad SAW, and not even a word was has been changed despite several attempts,

A significant number of Muslims around the globe read Qur'an, and also a noteworthy number of them memorized it.
Look at your other question. Christians say it is totally worthless to memorize Bible. I think only in Islam it is highly recommended and also, Allah blessed so many Muslims with the ability to actually memorize the whole Qur'an.
May Allah help you in your efforts.

I'm a atheist , so if I read a book I'll check the book worth my time or not , no matter who wrote it or whether it is Quran or Bible , I'm just skeptical to everything. If God created everything, then Who Created God??
I don't think a great number of Muslims had memorized Quran , because a lot of Muslim country's literacy is very low compare to another countries, So they just quote a phase or hail a slogan to ostensibly flaunt their Quran knowledge.

Alhamdulillah, YES.
Regarding the revelations from ONLY ONE GOD, GOD chosen angel Gabriel through prophets (from first prophet Adam to last prophet Mohammad (PBU them all) including Jesus (PBUH) to deliver the simple message to believe in ONLY ONE GOD in order to achieve the purpose of life. But every time the message got corrupted until GOD sent the final prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to make the religion PURE from CORRUPTION. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) always tell his companions/scholars to write it down as soon as the revelation from GOD comes via angel Gibriel. On top of that many people don't know HOLY QURAN is the only BOOK that has been memorised from begining till end that was the case during the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) life and after that. Now there are millions of muslim even the four years old memorised the whole QURAN unlike any other book. That's how the Quran is preserved in ORIGINAL form via written record as well as by memorisation. In Muslim world there are many books (example, tafsir ibn kathir) available today in different languages of the ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION of the HOLY QURAN by the prophet of GOD about 1400 years ago that is the only interpretation that has to be follow to be the true follower of the prophet as commanded by GOD and the ONLY WAY to SUCCESS that is both in this WORLD and ETERNAL PARADISE. Regards,

As salaam alaikum sister.
Yes, most Muslims have read the Qur'an cover to cover and most have memorized it.
I pray that more could find the strength of faith to put it into practice too.

Do you understand it? Every time I read the Bible in my religion I learn something new, do you? I find this interesting. You are better than myself, it is really hard to memorize something that you question. Do you every question? Why this was written and what they were thinking?
