Plz don't tell me allah means 'god' because i know already. but give me similarities between scripture if you think they are the same god? they, in my opinion are NOT the same. why? because allah seems so hateful with his 'if they won't convert to islam, JIHAD them'. God doesn't say kill the nonbeliever, He says enourage them and be kind and loving. so my summary would be 'allah' is not very loving, God is. this is my opinion....

now i will give you a chance to give me your opinion?

i left out a what i should've posted in details to people saying i'm 'ignorant' to anything dealing with islam, i had to leave:

muslim (allah) god is NOT god because he has no 'son'? they even recognize that Jesus was a 'prophet' unlike the jews (or some) who are still waiting on the REAL Christ. the Christian God has the Christ, He is God. allah is NOT God based on this.

Where in the Bible is allah or mohammed mentioned ?? Who died on the Cross ? What was allah`s son`s name that died on the Cross for your sins` ?? mohammed was a man , a self proclaimed prophet , and his teachings are not Biblical in any way , other than taking Biblical accounts and changing them to fit his man made " cloned " idea of what would help him gain power !! If allah allows you to do the things ( terrorize , marry a 9 or 10 year old child , sin at will ) that mohammed did as a "prophet" to glorify him , then that should end all comparisons with Christianity . It is amazing that out of all the names in the history of the Bible and in all of it`s teachings , the names of allah & mohammed are " never " mentioned once !!

It is same God. The problem is that the muslims are behaving their own way. They kill with knives and may be guns butchristians also kill . The christians donot kill with what the muslims kill with. There are things that if you do to someone you have killed him even though the person is walking.I am without a job today is it not a christian like me that sought for my downfall? Is it not killing? My family is really suffering because of that.My prayer is that we as christians like muslims, we should continue to seek this personal relationship with God.Before God on that day God will not say who was a muslim or a christian. He will take those who executed His will.
But the petinent thing I know is that Jesus Christ is the way and the truth and that no one goes to the Father Almighty except through Him.

Muslim beleive on The God. God of Abraham, Ishmael, Isacc, Moses, David, Jesus, and Muhammad (pbu. all of them).

Only God, unique without partnet. No son, no father.
Creator of all living and non living things of universes.

ALLAH.
Allah: Allah is the proper name in Arabic for The One and Only God, The Creator and Sustainer of the universe. It is used by the Arab Christians and Jews for the God (Eloh-im in Hebrew; Allaha in Aramaic, the mother tongue of Jesus, pbuh). The word Allah does not have a plural or gender. Allah does not have any associate or partner, and He does not beget nor was He begotten. SWT is an abbreviation of Arabic words that mean 'Glory Be To Him

Are you saying that there is God, and there is also Allah, and they are different people? How can this be? Are they living near to one another? Do they get on okay as neighbours? Did one of them create all that we see while the other is trying to take credit for something he didn't do? If there are TWO Gods like that, how many MORE gods are there up there? Since the god of the OT is so different from the god of th NT, is the Bible about different gods as well? This religion business is all jolly confusing...

your question i am sure is due to innocense rather than based on proper knolege of Islam. Quran is the final testament and the true word of God. However, to really understand it, you have to read in context. Allah do says at places that kill the unbeiliver, but, not just any unbeliveer who comes in front of you. It does not mean that i start killing my chritian and jew friends. The context of these verses in the Quran are that these were revealed when the pagans of Mecca were comming with a 1000 fully armed men to kill the muslims, whose total number at that time was 300. The muslims were unsure whether God has permitted fighting or not, and at that juncuture Allah (God) revealed these verses which mean, when you come face to face (in war) with them and they attack you, you kill the unbelievers. You dont think Allah would say that when the unbelivers come to kill you, you greet them with roses. You need to read the Quran in cotext, and when in doubt ask a knolegeble Muslims. There are so many other places wheere Allah says that treat even the unbelivers with kindness. We Muslims are even permitted to marry christans and jews by the Quran, provided they dont associate partners with God. If the Allah really ment us to kill unbelivers, why would He allow us to marry them. Secondly, read the Quran completly with an unbiased mind, and ask questions when unsure, and you will realize that It really is the true word of God. Bless you

i am a Catholic but is not against any religion, nor do I embraced my baptized religion. all i can say is that there is only One God above all these things. it can be Allah or Yahweh or whoelse I don't know. it is just a matter of belief. as to Jihad, it is the way they raised and taught the Muslim so it is our beyond our limits to question neither comment on it. they have their beliefs which we can not bend and so do we. all we have to do is respect whatever beliefs other religions has because "no one can interfere with the religion" as they say.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me". (John 14:6)

The Father is God. Jesus was saying that no one can get to God (THE GOD) except through Jesus and Jesus is Christianity. Allah is NOT the same, True God.

They are the same. If I remember correctly, and I may be wrong on this, but Islam comes from Ishmael, Abraham's other son. Also, check the Old-Testament--there are plenty of times in there where God does indeed say to kill the nonbelievers.

you're a little silly....

1) jihad means "to struggle".... specifically to struggle for Islam
2)the Prophet (pbuh) said "there is no compulsion in faith"

so i apologize but you have been misinformed. the only references to killing nonbelievers in the Quran is during specific times of war. many ppl who oppose islam cite verses without their context in history and without the context of the verses before and after them

also,
-my God, the Muslim God, the One and Only God, created the heavens and the earth
-my God created Adam and Eve
-my God gave the stories of Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Noah, Moses, Joseph, Jacob, Ezekiel, Elijah, Elisha, Jonah, John the Baptist.... and many others
-my God told of the virgin birth of Jesus

***if your God did not do these things.... then maybe we are praying to different gods.... but if he did i am then sure that we must be praying to One God

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prophets_of_Islam

lastly:

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve

-Holy Quran verse 2:62

my God, the God of the Muslims, the One and Only God, has two aspects. He is just and swift and punishment, but he is also loving and merciful..... and as you will see above he even looks highly upon your people
