Doesn''t the bible support this? New Jerusalem descends from heaven and fire later annihlates the evil people and recreates the Earth forming the New Earth out of their ashes. This is of course assuming "souls" don't exist and we are beings of dust and without breath, we cease to exist.

No. It says there will be a NEW heaven and a NEW earth. Heaven is another place right now, but once the New Jerusalem comes, heaven will descend onto a purged, clean earth.
