i know it sounds daft but i havn't used the thing for two years and i've lost the recipie book

The recipe that I use most in my Bush bm538 machine is a basic recipe.for a 2lb loaf as follows.
water=375ml/13fl oz.
strong flour =575g/1.1/4 lb
salt=10ml / 2tsp.
Castor sugar=15m /3tsp.
vegetable oil, I prefer ground nut oil=30ml /2tbsp.
dried yeast= 5ml /1tsp. or slightly less.
I use program 10 for sandwich bread takes about 3 hours and 20 minutes. Hope this helps.
A book that I have is by Chrsitine Ingram and Jennie Shapter.THE complete book of bread & bread machines, over 200 recipes made by both hand and machine. I think you will find it hard to lose this book as long as you don't lend it out

one of the best things to use is tesco crusty loaf mix otherwise i agree the best place to look is on the net or do as i did and buy a bread maker recipe book it is too big to lose and full of many recipes from white bread to sun dried tomato bread from Chelsea buns to danish pastries a great must have book for a person owning a bread maker

The best way to make bread is by hand,i do not like the bread makers.i have all ways made my bread by hand and my children love it.
