Awesome question. But you know, they can't say that their loving god allows innocent people to die in great quantities everyday. That would make him less cool. Their job is to make him sound as good as possible so that they'll earn brownie points with him and get into heaven.

We dont know what God allows. But we DO know He loves us all. What we sometimes forget, is that there is a Satan who, the Bible says, has come to kill and destroy and walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
God DOES do some things - but sometimes we blame Him for things He has not DONE, but merely allowed.
The Bible also says He uses evil for good for those who love Him - meaning that He will turn a bad situation into a good one if you love Him.
He is all-powerful and created all.
Sickness and suffering came about after sin, so you can say that there are deformities, etc. BECAUSE of sin, but it does not mean that someone is BORN that way because they have sinned, for example.

After reading some of the questions in this forum, I begin to think how many people out there go the their local churches and join Bible study courses?
I am sorry to say this, but some of the questions sound very basic.
Of course they cannot prove the existance of God by inviting God to appear in physical form, but only to see His creation. And of course the bad things like cancers are not from God, but the result of man falling into sin.
The matter is only: do you believe or have faith in what is taught about God and everything else, or not. If not, then it is nonsense to talk about God anymore.

See why it's easier to be a polytheist? Then you don't have to resolve these sorts of conundrums. You can attribute all contradictions to separate gods or goddesses.
But also remember that many apparent troubles are blessings in disguise. And some apparent blessings don't turn out to be so good upon reflection. The most obvious example is physical beauty, which tends to make people paranoid about losing their looks, and especially neurotic when they start to see changes due to aging. It also makes them the target of unwanted attention along with all the wanted attention.

God created a perfect world. We filled it with diseases, pollution, we changed the earths atmosphere. We have polluted it with nuclear waste, and evil acts against each other. We have brought many of the problems upon ourselves. What an arrogance man has had.
God promises to stand beside me to strengthen me to meet lifes challenges. I have a time to exist, although short, I will struggle but will be stronger with each triumph over challenges. If God could change the necessity of life and death, Jesus would have had his prayer answered in the Garden of Gethsemane, he would not have died. Death is not a choice its a fulfillment of our destiny.
God has proved himself to me. I found more logic of Christs life in history, than I have found true in our American History.
I just read your additional comment.
Example: you have two liquids bleach and ammonia. Apart they each great cleaners. Mix together and they become a poisonious gas, sometimes causing death.
God set nature in motion in perfection. We have altered nature for many years. We create our world.
We create the Hitlers of the world with hate, fear, power. We have to take responsibilty for the twist and contortion man has created in his existance. God created nature perfect in its cycle. Man was to nuture that. We were to nuture each other. God did not create sin. Man has a choice. That ability for choice has brought the worst and the best of man.
God supplied the paint, we made it beautiful or ugly.

Yes, God created all that and more. He created a way, a plan, for us to get through this time of lonliness and suffering on this earth, then be with Him for eternity.
God created the world and said, "It is good."
He created man to share it with.
Man corrupted it, (we still do)
God said that even though we have ruined Earth with our insistance on doing things our way, I love you, and I have provided a way for you to have a second chance if you want it."

The fall of man and free will are the causes for sickness. We are not robots. The original sin cursed the world and we must deal with the consequences of this curse. With God, everything will work out good in the end. He is testing us for now.
There is proof. Go to Rome there are holy saints that have died a long time ago and have not rotted, they are on show there.
Watch Benny Hinn, millions of people worldwide are being healed through Jesus Christ and the doctors do not know have any explanation for it.

I've narrowed down the process of explaining the answer to your question -which is one that I have been able to come to a conclusion about after 38 years - with a simple question that goes: "If faith is proof, then it would be spelled p-r-o-o-f."

The potential for evil is because of Him, yes. But man would take perfection for granted, that is the point of the story of Adam and Eve. How could perfection in the end seem glorious if there was never any bad, it would just seem bland.
