It's best to allow the hot cooked food, especially meaty dishes
to cool down first to room temperature before you place them
in the fridge. The reasons are:-
1. You may warm up other food and affect the cooling element
of the fridge which may cause it to malfunction.
2. The hot food will become bad or spoilt due to sudden and
insufficient cooling.

No, it will not spoil any faster but it might damage your poor fridge. Think of the cold fridge being bombarded by great heat. It will get hot, the temp of the other stored food in there will also get hot. If the hot item is lets say a huge turkey, you will defrost your fridge.
The greatest damage is to you, because your family will get very mad at you.LOL

yes, first let it cool down then you can refridgerate it. Make sure to cover it well and if you do decide to re-heat it, only use as much as you need.
