Drug tests are unreliable and sometimes will not detect pot...sometimes it will detect poppy seed muffins in your system...Go figure.
There is no way to flush your system.

My cousin used a similar story when taking an employment drug test. (Her story was fiction as she really did smoke.) She had about 2 weeks warning before the test and quit smoking. The test was positive, but I guess the amount was small enough that the employer bought her story and she still has her job. There must be a threshold they look at for second hand exposure.

Yes you can.
An Olympic Gold Medal was decided on this very issue. Nagano Winter Olympics 2002.
The Canadian Olympic Snowboarder - Ross Rebagliati - claimed he had not used marijuana in the last 10 months but lives in an environment where marijuana use is common. They believed the minute traces of marijuana in his system were the result of second-hand smoke after attending a party.
They gave him his gold medal after it was proven that you can indeed fail a drugs test because of second hand marijuana smoke.

Yes, while cocaine is out of your system in about a week thc can take as long as 3 months for the metabolites to leave your system. I suggest you be honest with those doing the testing and offer to take subsequent tests to confirm you are not a user. Making the offer esp in writting may make all the difference in how they look at hiring you.

Of course. You're breathing in the smoke, aren't you? It doesn't take a medical source to know this - just imagine, for a moment, the second-hand marijuana smoke had been toxic fumes. Wouldn't breathing them in have harmed you? That's because they would have penetrated your system. Same thing.

I'm not exactly drug-savvy, so I coudn't answer most of your questions there. But perhaps you could try contacting those people giving you the drug test and detail your concerns. At the very least, they'll appreciate the honesty.
Most people wouldn't go near them if they've been around drugs.

Nope, not at all. You would have had to smoke a significant amount of weed, and recently, for it to show on a drug test. You are fine.
