Don't worry about it. the neighbors are honestly too absorbed in their own problems to pay you much mind. Just be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and if the neighbors look at you at all, just say hi. Most likely if they notice you at all, they would just be a little surprised, not thinking anything negative at all. I had similar fears a couple years ago and the neighbors were very nice even though I was having severe physical and mental problems at the time.

Why would the neighbors think this is weird? Working in your yard is a normal thing to do. You either have hypercritical neighbors or else something else is going on. You don't by any chance have snow covering your yard, do you? If so, pulling weeds is weird then.

I am sure you neighbors don't give a rats booty that you are outside. Just go out and do what you need to do and don't worry about them. If you stay inside your yard is going to look horrible and I can assure you that your neighbors will be talking about you if you let that happen.

Why the hell would the neighbors give a hoot! Everyone takes care of their yard: weed pulling, lawn mowing, edging, planting, fertilizing, watering, raking. It's what you do with a yard.
Not taking care of your yard is what bothers neighbors.
