Please tell me what you defined about your relationship first, prenuptial ones or have some sexes just for fun that kind of relationship , which I don't believe that joining in the matrimony is so much fun either.

The latter ones is your private enjoyment, your family don't need to know. But marry is a complicated matter : financial , social status, change of status quo, etc...so you need help or advices form family or friend of various opinions, if you treat it seriously.

that's always hard. i'm assuming the problem stems from the fact that you've been going out with him for such a long time and your family hasn't known. to ease it for them and to try to keep them from being offended that you waited so long to tell them (i'm assuming that is the problem you're having...please correct me if i'm wrong), i would tell them that you wanted to wait until you were sure of the relationship and that you wanted to tell them now because it is something that is important in your life. be honest and tell them why you waited to tell them until now and what made you change your mind. family appreciates honesty.

"Mom and Dad, I have a boyfriend and I've been dating him for half a year."

Be honest and up front. They'll understand.

bring him by and introduce him. you don't need to tell them how long you've been together unless they ask. then just tell them.
