"Not all, but some. During the pro-immigration protests last spring a lot of interesting things were said. One that I found very interesting is that we can't just deport 12 million illegal immigrants. Really? Who did the research and determined that? In world war 2 we sent a few million soldiers across 2 oceans and defeated two world class powers. You mean to tell me that in 2006 we can't deport 25-50% of our illegal immigrants over the course of a few years? Of course we can do it. As for the economic implications, it would be a wash. What we lost in cheap labor we would gain in reduction to social program costs. New York state alone spends 5 billion a year to educate children that can't speak a word of English. That's right , billion with a B.

Rightful Owners ? I'm not sure I understand your word usage here.Do you mean to their home country's?
Yes I do know that this country is capable and has the means to deport all the illegal aliens in this nation.Yes It can be done. Will it be done,I doubt it will at least not all of them.I am against any form of amnesty but I am also realistic. There may be people that deserve to stay here, but what criteria do we use to judge.Ive heard, working, paying taxes,no criminal record etc.
But what of those that have anchor babies? And aren't productive people? Don't you think there are other factors to think about? The 14th amendment should be repealed, and make it retro active to 10 years.I am for a 10 year moratorium on all legal immigration, until the problem with the illegal alien is rectified. The systematic deportation over that 10 yrs would be very affective. It can and should be done.I am against any blanket amnesty.
Deportation, and then secure our borders with our military.to prevent this from happening again.
I am not without compassion,I understand fully the conditions that exist in some of the illegals home country's.But we have legal Americans that are homeless and living in poverty. We owe them our jobs, our entitlements and our care,we must take care of our own people first.

No one messed up thier home countrys except thier own leaders that are uncaring and corrupt.Lets take Mexico for example,.its a rich nation, but the poor never see a dime of that wealth. They are pushed out of thier country by thier own government, encouraged to come to the US.If they dont like our culture, then stay ,where they are, dont come here.We certainly wont lose any sleep over it..kinL
Perhaps its your own head in the wrong place. You really should work on that rudeness.

1) Our leaders need to put pressure on their leaders to improve the economic situation of the average working Mexican, then they wouldn't have to flee their own country just to get money to feed their families.
2) Our leaders need to put pressure on American business to not hire illegals.
The problem is, their leaders love it when their poor come to our country to use our social services. That way, they don't have to take care of their own poor. Their leaders love that many of the illegals send billions, not millions but billions of dollars back to their families in Mexico, therefore bolstering up their economy. Our leaders love it because they get lots of donations from American businesses that use the slave labor class which is cheaper for them and also puts a downward pressure on wages for Americans.
Who loses in all this? American AND Mexican workers. I'd never begrudge someone's attempt to make a better life for themselves or their families, and I know many wonderful immigrants, both legal and illegal. And the ugly truth is, there are many Americans who refuse to do the kinds of work the immigrants are willing to do FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY. We're too well fed, too well entertained and too well medicated. As for the immigrants, you do what you have to do when your children are hungry. Don't blame the immigrants. Blame their economy and their government leaders who aren't taking care of their own.

Do you have any idea how completely asinine your question is? I mean, are you trolling or something?

Sure, illegal immigration is a problem, but it's not the end of the world. It's not a problem that has to be solved next week. Who knows, we may even want to treat illegal aliens humanely - wouldn't that be a refreshing concept?

And what's this "rightful owners" crazzap? I don't think you have your head screwed on straight.

If possible, how do you think U.S immigration is going to accomplish that? I dont think illegal aliens are ever going to leave this country...it's just gonna get worse....the Damn Wall is not going to stop them....do you know how long is going to take them to build that wall? many years...by that time..illegal immigrants will have trained to jump from helicopters or small planes...jejejej.. What Bush is doing is just wasting our money in a stupid wall....just to satisfy those damn REPUBLICANS that are up his @ss all the time....

also, the majority of illegal immigrants are here to work, to better their situation, however, there are those who dont come here to work or to better themselves...those damn criminals THOSE are the ones who deserve to be deported permantly to their respective countries but THEY need to be deported directly to a JAIL in their country..

When i watch the news, i always see Hispanic people getting in trouble, gangmembers, speeding, drug trafficking etc. and it is THEIR FAULT that Hispanic people are seen like a pest in this country....As a hispanic woman, i feel embarrased when i see these things in the news...i always say that "everyone pays the price because of Dumb@ss people like these ones"

Absolutely!

And of course there will be big economic repercussions. We just need to go through that.

Now, I fully support legal immigration, so we would need to crank up the mechanism to allow aliens in to do the work that we will have for them.

But it's unacceptable to have the level of illegal immigration that we do. And I think we need to go on a tremendous sweep and charge employers who employ illegals on a widespread basis.

Right, and after the deportation, we will put you and JP along with other similar dim-witted on the fields to pick lettuce, strawberries, peaches, sprouts, grapes, apricots, garlics, onions, spinach, bok-choy, cherries, cilantro, parsley, herbs, to name a few. Agree?

The illegals are owned by the people here who hire them. We need to deport those employers.
