For one thing, I don't think you should equate the pedophile catholic priests we've been hearing about in the news with homosexual clergy. Many denominations now accept homosexuals as both parishioners and clergy. For another thing, it's hard to make sweeping generalizations about Islamic Clergy because Islam is spread across many different cultures, from Turkey (a very "westernized" country) to Indonesia and everywhere in between. Some of those cultures don't have the stigma against homosexuality that we do, so that even if it did happen, it wouldn't be commented upon as if it were scandalous. Finally, unlike Catholicism, Islam doesn't expect it's clergy to be celibate.

I might agree with you to some extent, but that has nothing to do with religion, it is the society that brings such sick people.
In Arab countries, the Land of all religions, we have so many Christians, in millions, but never heard of Homosexual Priest among them.
There are a lot of much better arguments for Islam and against present Christianity.

don't believe it Islam has a huge homosexual problem just check out corruption in Saudi Arabia straight from the royal
family in Great Britain stories to confound your impression .
rarely they behead but mostly they look the other way and they need 3 to 5 witnesses to prosecute ( for lack of another word )by Muslim law whatever the word for it is.

Catholism forbids priests to marry, the Bible does not. I am a Christian (as in born again), and my pastor is very much married. When men follow men's laws instead of God's laws, that leads to problems. Perhaps some homosexuals who have no intention of "coming out" opt for priesthood?

I don't know the answer for sure.... but I know that in some of the Christian denominations, the priests take a vow of celibacy. For some reason the celibate priests are not true to their vows.

For the same reason there were no openly homosexual Christian priests in past centuries, because they fear anyone finding out about it.

Case happens mostly on catholic priest/pastor (not the other christian), because as a man, they live against nature. A man should be married so his lonely dude a little wild things don't hang loose....
Cleric get married ... just that simple :-{

Homosexuality does not exist in Islam.
But there are homosexuals among Muslims, as there are prostitutes, beggars, criminals and politicians.
They are looked down upon and not given a chance to bring their filth to the surface to corrupt our children with their sick thoughts.

i'm an atheist, so have no agenda here.
