They want everything their way, and reject every alternative.

People confuse love and kindness with being vulnerable. Natural instincts are to defend when being attacked. Most religions do preach love and tolerance, but at the same time are under attack by people who refuse to believe in a "higher power". A lot of questions on this site that pertain to religion are mocking. If someone mocks what you believe in and hold sacred, human instinct is to defend what you believe in, even though the way you defend may go against what your religion preaches.

there is a difference between Christianity and religion.
religion is about "my church is better than yours" and such. Christianity is for all people and segregation is not an issue.

over the two thousand years plus Christianity has endured a lot of adversity. our laws are subject to change by precedent in the law courts. and law isn't necessarily justice but how it is interpreted at the time. our law courts are "of the world" and very subject to change.
over time so many things that were of zero tolerance in Christianity have become permissible by worldly law. therefore the fine line between the sublime and the ridiculous is getting very difficult to define.
wouldn't you say that uncertainty is frustrating? well try living a christian life and watch everybody else live their life by worldly law standards. thus the many problems Christians have with the standards other people live by.

there is a comfort we all may realize though.....God let's us make our own choices as a parent let's a child make choices. be they right or wrong though you must deal with the results of your choices.

It's amazing how people overlook the positivity of this site and look for the negative so they can justify there sinful wrongs or excuses. God is All about Love and Acceptance. Religion is just a label with people behind it. Focus on God not the people! The hate on this site is usher on by unbelievers who bash daily. Open ur Eyes to everything not what you want to see!

Because, the churches don't want to teach people the whole Bible, how to preach the Bible, and how to teach it. Instead, they would rather force others to live their lives using the rule of law. It's a lot easier than doing it the hard way by following all the teachings of Christ.

King James thought in a similar way in the commission to create the KJV. He thought the previous version, promoted by Queen Elisabeth to be too limiting and puritanical. He wanted more freedom to do as he wished.

I've been told by a Christian preacher that we shouldn't read books. They will corrupt us. We should only read the Bible. Everything we should want to know is in the Bible. That's what he said.
Now you know why they have a problem with everything. They're a bunch of dumb sh-its.
The same with that other lot that only read the Koran. It's all they know. Nothing else.
Dur......... ;-O

Understanding people's belief systems is something that often troubles. People try so hard to hang onto constancy in their lives and usually the only thing that grounds them. They tend to wear blinders and judge others to make themselves feel better about their ignorance.

No.
Religion best exemplified in Christianity is the haunting feeling that someone, somewhere might be happy coupled with the uncontrollable urge to put an immediate stop to it.
