for awhile I have noticed a hard lump on the upper left side of my back. I have noticed it there a few months ago. It is maybe the size of a small size pearl. It does not itch or hurt. I work overseas and do not wish to go to the doctors here because of my employment situation. I will be leaving in a month for a holiday and can get it checked elsewhere.

Any idea what it might be>

Hello,
My father in law and many other people I know deal with the same thing. There are herbal meds that you can get that are all natural. You can also go to the doctor and have them tell you that they told my dad, that it had to be removed by surgery. It could also just be a calcium build up. Getting checked out is your best bet. If it is getting bigger than I would say go NOW! If it hasn't got any bigger since you found it....you might be ok until you can get to a doctor. Good Luck!

if it is between your buttocks then it is surely PILONODIAL SYNUS. it is caused due to small hair entering the body. The anjtibodies cannot remove hair insertion hence it becomes into a lump. further it may become bigger and blood may ooze out .it is better u go to the doctor wihtout delay it is normally operated for best results. its not serious.

if it is not the above mentioned one i am not sure.

I agree; that thing needs to be checked ASAP. Not only because there is a possibility that it's cancerous, but because it could cause a permanent deformity if not taken care of quickly enough (even if it's not cancerous).

It could be a benign or malignant cyst. You better consult a doctor as early as possible and get a biospy done to determine as to what it is. Frankie is right.
