People are saying I like this girl, but it's all bullshit. Then, while she's sitting down and i'm making a joke about how if a mermaid's bra feel off when a shark was after her, she says she knows I like her! What should I do, because this will mostly be around my school!

Try not to let it bother you. The more you baulk about it, the more people will talk. The problem will go away in no time. People have too much else to talk about. Don't give them anything and ignore the talk. Talk is talk. talk is cheap. Even if it does bother you don't let anybody know it.

well I am not sure how the mermaid thing fits in here, but anyways. She's either being purposely annoying and just being like "I KNOW YOU LIKE ME" just to make you feel upset, or she's happy you "like" her & you should take her aside and say to her
"Look, (girls name) I think your nice, but I barely even know you, and I dont want to hurt your feelings, thats why I'm telling you this, I dont like you how you might think and It makes me really uncomfortable when you say that to people & when people talk about it, so maybe we could both forget about it. I'm sure there are other guys that liek you, your very pretty, But I just dont feel that way about you.

Dont be cruel about it but just try to tell her that you dont like her that way and that your friends were just being a pain in your ***. It will blow over soon enough and it wont kill you for people to think you like her cause your friends know you dont and you know you dont. It may seem like a big thing but its not that bad. Try to be a nice person about it, though.

simple, ignore girl #1 and find another girl, then tell that girl that you like her. make out with her in front of some ppl, and all will be ok. then, when ppl say "i thought you liked girl #1??" you can say "who the hell told you that??" and resume making out with the new girl.
