How often do you get these types of headaches? Many things can trigger a headache, but migraines are hard to deal with. Do you sit in front of a computer screen a lot? This can cause head and neck pain. What about sleeping, do you sleep well? Or do you wake up with a stiff, sore neck?
You really should see a Dr. If it is just a headache, not anything serious, then see a chiropractor. Both my sister and I went a year ago for migraines and other pains in neck and back. We are both FREE of the headaches. If there are any vertebrate out of alignment they pinch nerves and cause pain. Once they are adjusted, the nerve if freed and the pain stops. I never tried chiropractic care before last year. I am so glad I went!!! Try it, it may help!

General exercise is supposed to relax tension and help with headaches. Something like yoga or pilates might help with that and not seem too overwhelming while still having a headache. But if you've had a headache for 2 days straight, that might be a warning flag of something. Perhaps see a doctor, or at the least a professional massage therapist.

Im not much of a pill popper myself, but migraines almost always need ibuprofen to stop them.. But there are times when I just turn off all the lights, turn off the TV, put on some light nature sounds on the stereo (like leaves blowing or water running, it calms me) and drink camomile tea with honey and use a warm wet washcloth on my forehead.. my headache usually always goes within an hour. oh, I almost forgot.. I always get away from my computer which seems to agrivate the headache

Don't ignore this! Too many spooky things are associated with severe headaches. Get thee to a doctor!
Try some neck relaxing exercises, cold compresses on the head, temple and forehead.

two days without medicine? You are tougher than me. Exercise will not rid you of a headache. It won't even take your mind off it. It will increase the blood flow to your head and make it feel that much worse! Unless you are a masochist, I suggest taking Advil. If you really think this is the worst headache of your life, and have a family history of stroke, please consider contacting your doctor!!!! ASAP!!!!

If your headache just started coming on and you have no reason for it..like stress, fall, hurt it...You may have what is called cluster headaches they are unexplained usually come in fall and spring will come and go daily sometimes weekly..usually go away after about 1 to 2 months...They are sharp pain around the eye especially in the back of eye, pain along the temple and side of head..Message temple, back of neck, cold packs, heat packs alternating, sleeping elevated soft pillow...These have worked for me.. my Dr. thought it might be Migraine but it wasn't the Imatrix pill never worked on me...Eventually I had to get Dr. to give me a pain med..and that worked as they got worse..then they go away..sometimes forever..I haven't had one for about a 1yr now..cross my finger...Good Luck hope you find the root of this and get it over..I know how painful and stressing this can be..
