Ok so I was sitting on the couch today watching a tv show and my cat jumped up on my lap and sat on my left leg, now this cat isn't huge, but from the pressure of him sitting on me my leg started to go numb, so I pushed him off my lap and when I did I felt this lump like thing under my skin. as I pushed a little on it, it felt thick, not like a tight muscle or anything like that, but just not normal. And when I run my hand over it without pressing on it I can feel a difference in the height of the skin around the lump and the actual lump. Should I be worried that this is something like cancer, or is it maybe just a wierd muscle thing going on?

Make an appointment to go see your primary care physician if you have one, if not go in to your local walk-in clinic and have it looked at. This may sound weird, but you should trace a line around the lump with permanent pen so you can tell if it changes size at all. It could be as simple as a muscle knot or adhesion, or an inflamed lymph node. But it is best to be checked to be sure. I had something similar, and it turned out to be infectious granuloma of a lymph node which would not respond to antibiotics and it had to be removed surgically. I'm not trying to scare you, just stressing the importance of being seen soon.

I would make an appointment to see a doctor right away, and not to jump to any conclusions until x-rays are taken. Hopefully there is no pain involved with this lump, but see your doctor anyway.

I wouldn't worry. In about two weeks, your leg will give birth to a kitten. Name it "thighmaster" or TM for short.
