I'm doing the same thing I did last year, and going to a festival that's being hosted by my friend and priestess. We have this thing we call a walk through the underworld, and we just go on a walk in the woods and call our deceased ancestors' spirits and invite them to join us in our rituals. It's quite fun actually.

At our festival most people dress in animal costumes and we'll parade and beat the drum. Later we'll have a bonfire and cast a circle around the perimeter. Then we'll call upon our ancestors by druming on the earth. The walk through the underworld sounds like a great way to celebrate. Blessed be.

We're having a retreat this weekend. We're having a feast of the dead on Friday, an apple festival on Saturday afternoon for the kids and Farewell to Persephone on Saturday night followed by ecstatic dance. We've rented a cabin out in the woods.

My husband & I have a solemn dinner of rare steak & red wine. We put some aside on an extra place setting, then go about altering our state of consciousness (read: GET VERY LOADED)
so the veil between worlds is rent & we can be with the good spirits of our old house for a fun time! :)
