Why would this perfect creator make our eye so imperfect?

First of all, your little optical illusion didn't work for me.

Second of all, if both eyes work together there is no blind spot, (the site even states this).

Third, how do we know that if we were to "fix" the problem we would instead create one? Perhaps the "blind spot" serves a purpose.

Fourth, the Bible explicitly states that only the creator is perfect, not the creation.

Fifth, while you see this as how badly our eyes were designed, I see this as how wonderfully our brains are designed.

Why do you focus on this blind spot, when there is a much larger blind spot in your heart? There is no logic to your argument, why can't you see that this is because there is no truth to your premise? I pray that you will see that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He loves you, and that He died for you so that you may not perish but have everlasting life.

He is perfect, but that doesn't mean he has to make us perfect. In heaven we who are saved will have a perfect body.

But our design is still too good not to have a designer.

Research tells us that bacteria move around using a propeller driven by a motor that is way more efficent than a man made motor and can stop moving in a quarter of a turn. This motor is better design than a man made motor.

The dna is the complex code system ever created. It contains way more characters than any man made recording system. This code would have been also well design.

Because only a perfect god would do something so ridiculous as to give us instinctual urges & then give us the 10 commandments.
god's probably laughing at our ineptitude right now! we all should be!
I've been almost legally blind since the 2nd grade, yet people are always telling me how beautiful my eyes are! Not to me! Can't even look in my own eyes from farther away than 3 inches in a mirror....

"GOD" the perfect creator, has a plan for everything and everyone. By making us with a blind spot in our eye, it makes us appreciate what we can see. With faith in his ultimate plan, these questions just don't enter into the mind. Becasue we are human and have flaws (no perfection amoungst humans), we will ask questions and have doubt. Therefore; people need to reaffirm their faith on a regular basis and turn their troubles, insecurities, crisis, questions and doubts over to the hands of the lord. He will be up all night anyway

You don't seem to understand. The whole notion of "work" derives from the fact that some activities are more fun than others, and a good many activities are necessary for our survival as a society, so the most vital, undesirable and otherwise scarce activities are labeled "work" and compensated by those less willing or able to perform them to those more so.

It's not that God is cruel, this is an earthly body with many imperfection & limitation .Christians believes that once they get into heaven ,they will have a glorious body.No blindness,no tears, no pain & no missing body parts.

Because the term "having eyes" is symbolic of having a great understanding.... So too is the term "light"......

not all are meant to see..... Just as there are some who are blind....

Imagine, a teacher coming to a class that has learned all they need to learn..... How can he teach what is already known?..... or what can he teach that isn't already known?......

Same with this matter.......

If all men believed, and all men repented of their wrongs, what is the purpose of judgement?...... What is the glory to God when there is no need to cause men to seek repentance and find forgiveness.......

It's a perfect blind spot and it doesn't even bother us!! Check out the physiology of our bodies and you'll be amazed at how wonderfully we are made...it's mind boggling! I'm a teacher of anatomy and physiology and my students are left in awe when we study the facts!! God is so awesome!!
