I am a homeschooling mom also, and the way I earn extra money is by selling on eBay. I've opened an eBay store for ($15 a month) and only spend a couple of hours at the most per day(maybe 5 days a week) on the computer shipping out packages, answering questions from buyers etc., and I usually average $600. per month profit. Sometimes I'll find a very inexpensive item in a thrift store or yard sale that will sell for much, much more on ebay. Start out with things around the house, kids outgrown clothes, toys, etc. Run a few auctions to get the hang of it. Once you've been on eBay for a while, it's easier to "spot" items that will sell well on eBay. Sometimes what I do when I find something I'm not sure of, is call my hubby and ask him to see if that item is selling well on eBay and also what it's going for. Selling on eBay has been the best solution for our family and really helps out with the bills and gives us "extra" money for our kids! I highly recommend looking into this, it's been such a blessing! Hope this helps : )

You could try tutoring. There are a lot of kids out there (even elementary kids!) who need help with reading, writing, and math. Obviously since you homeschool, you feel pretty confident in teaching these things. (Believe me, there are plenty of parents out there who are not!)

I am a teacher and have tutored many years to earn extra money. It's great because you can set your own hours (to a point) and take as many kids as you want. I used to charge about $30 per hour. Depending on where you live, the going rate for a tutor may be more (but I imagine not much less) than this.

I hope you find something!

YES! I second everyone's advice about eBay! I've just started with things from my house and yard-sales. In one week I made my first $200.

I have also tutored other home-school children. Sometimes it turns into extended babysitting and the $ may or may not be enough. I was getting $550 per month for 1/2 days with one child.

My home is also my office -- I maintain a bookkeeping office for a local building contractor. My students can study at desks in my office (seperate from the house) or stay in the house and do their schoolwork.

I hope you find something that works really well for you!

I would sell on ebay. I have made like 100 dollars just selling stuff around the house. If you put up old homeschooling supplies they seem to go pretty fast.
